What I do

  • Backends and data. Python (Django, DRF, Flask, Celery), PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch. Data models and query layers built for the reports you’ll want in a year.
  • Whole product areas. Billing and quotas, permissions and SSO, reporting, notifications: scoped, phased and delivered, not just coded.
  • Shipping and running it. Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, RabbitMQ, automatic TLS behind Cloudflare, handed over with the documentation to match.

A household pantry-management product for Android and iOS, on the Play Store. Shared pantries, barcode scanning against an Open Food Facts catalogue, shopping lists, and expiry alerts on scheduled jobs. I run production myself.

  • A practice routine with sections, reps, tempos and progress stats
  • Metronome settings for tempo, beats and sound during a session

HIIT for Musicians Freelance · 2026

A practice app for musicians, delivered for a client in quoted phases from proposal to handover. Musicians crop excerpts out of PDFs and phone photos of sheet music; a guided player runs them with a metronome and offline capture that re-syncs when the device reconnects.

    Software Engineer

    LEAF, a distributed crawler and analytics platform auditing large website estates for universities, government and enterprise. I built its billing, quota and reporting layers, and moved the crawler onto Kubernetes with event-driven autoscaling.
